The Kelowna area encompasses 2 separate cities, one known as Kelowna on the eastern shore of Lake Okanagan, and West Kelowna, on the western shore of the lake. Other close-by cities within commuting distance of Kelowna are Lake Country to the south, and Peachland to the southwest of West Kelowna. Vernon to the north and Penticton to the south are both within an hour's drive to downtown Kelowna.

This area of the Okanagan Valley features many wineries and fruit orchards. Lots of activities nearby, such as golf, skiing, camping, sailing and more.
